Cellar Conversions

Cellar conversions have become very popular over recent years as more people realise the value of the potential real estate beneath their existing home.

A cellar conversion can be used to create that extra special place with an ambiance that is difficult to create anywhere in the rest of the house, typical uses includel a home office, a gym, hobbiles room, home cinema, childrens playroom or teenage den, the list is as wide as your imagination....

This previously disused Victorian cellar was convedrted to an additional bedroom and utility space and was the subject of a full episode of the popular TV show 'Room for Improvement'.

The above picture shows a beautiffully finished cellar conversion completed by Polycrete Basement Systems in 1998, it looks just as good today but the first attempt at converting this cellar (by others) failed after less than one year due to inadequate waterproofing
